Se dio a conocer la ‘shortlist’ con 74 canciones extraídas de las bandas sonoras de los filmes con potencial para ser nominados a los Oscar 2016.

The Hollywood Reporter publicó dicha lista después de que la Academia las anunciara como ‘avance’ de la edición numero 88  de los premios, cuya ceremonia tendrá lugar el 28 de febrero.

Entre las primeras melodías escogidas, hay muchos nombres conocidos como los de Eminem con Phenomenal, canción del filme Soutpaw,  Lady Gaga con Til It Happens To You de la película The Hunting Ground, N.E.R.D. con Squeeze Me de The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water  o Wiz Khalifa con See You Again de Furious Seven.

También estan entre la lista, Writing’s On The Wall de Sam Smith perteneciente a la más reciente entrega del agente 007 Spectre, Johanna de Miles Kane, Tim Wheeler con Feels Like Summer de Shaun The Sheep Movie y finalmente The Weeknd, Ellie Goulding y Sia, por canciones contenidas en la banda sonora de Fifty Shades Of Grey.
